• This website was kindly rebuilt during Jan-Feb 2003. It had vastly outgrown its original directory structure and badly needed someone to spend mega-hours reorganising things.

2000

• Features from FreeFind have been added. Another, probably more comprehensive, SEARCH engine is available. Also now available are computer generated WHAT'S NEW and SITE MAP features.

• The 2000 DRS National Conference and AGM will be held in Melbourne on 21-22 October. Program details are available.

• Material from New Doctor Issue 73 , "Food for Thought", has been added. This includes articles examining both sides of the genetically modified food debate. The full text is available for three articles.

• Material from New Doctor Issue 72 has been added. The full text is available for four articles, including submissions from the DRS to the Senate Inquiry into Public Hospital Funding.

• This website gets sent the occasional award. A couple of the more useful ones can now be found on an awards page . One from Encyclopaedia Brittanica allows you to search their site from here .

• Material from New Doctor Issue 71 has been added. Its theme was "Doctors and the Pharmaceutical Industry".

• Material from New Doctor Issue 70 is now available. This is devoted to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.

• A Letters to the Editor section has been added. This contains published letters relevant to health-politics written by members.

• Search engines have been installed on this site. You can now not only search this site for keywords or phrases, but new options are available to search related sites or the entire web.

• Medical job vacancies in areas of need are now advertised.

• A site index has been added to assist navigation within this website.

• See our articles in the Current Issues section. New ones are added about monthly.

• A public bulletin/message board is available on this site.

• Media Releases are available on this site, with new ones regularly added.
